Katowice 2-1 Wieczysta Kraków result, stats and report

Katowice held on for a 3-2 win over Cracovia Kraków in a chaotic Polish Ekstraklasa encounter, with the decisive goals coming from substitutes and the visitors unable to convert their clear territorial superiority into the result their stats deserved.

Widzew Lodz were pegged back in the final ten minutes as Antonio Milic headed home to cancel out Mario García's earlier strike, sending both sides home with a point from a six-goal, two-half, end-to-end contest that neither team deserved to win.

Wieczysta Kraków took all three points at Pogoń Szczecin, winning 2-0 thanks to second-half goals from Darko Churlinov and Jordi Sánchez. Pogoń had the ball but never had the cutting edge when it mattered.

Zagłębie Lubin ended a run of frustrating draws with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Katowice, with Michalis Kosidis netting the winner before a chaotic stoppage time that included a penalty, a VAR review, and multiple yellow cards.

Katowice have won just two of their last five Ekstraklasa matches and their home defence is leaking. Pogoń Szczecin arrive unbeaten in five. Something has to give.

Wieczysta Kraków host Raków Częstochowa on Friday evening with both clubs desperately short of form and shorter still on confidence. This is a match between two sides that cannot defend, cannot sustain results, and badly need a win.

Raków Częstochowa have lost five straight in the Ekstraklasa and shipped twelve goals doing it. Katowice arrive in form and scoring freely. This one has a story.
