Responsible Gambling
Effective date: 1 April 2026
At SportSignals, we are committed to promoting responsible gambling. Betting should be an enjoyable pastime, not a source of financial hardship or distress. This page provides guidance, tools, and resources to help you stay in control.
Gambling Should Be Fun
Gambling is entertainment. It is not a reliable way to make money, and the house always has an edge. You should only ever gamble with money you can afford to lose. Never chase losses, and never gamble when you are feeling stressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. The analysis and predictions on this site are for informational purposes only and do not guarantee any betting outcome.
Know the Signs of Problem Gambling
You may have a problem with gambling if you:
- Spend more money or time gambling than you intended
- Feel anxious, guilty, or upset about gambling
- Lie to family or friends about how much you gamble
- Chase losses or increase bets to try to win back money
- Borrow money or sell possessions to fund gambling
- Neglect work, school, or family responsibilities due to gambling
If any of these apply to you, please seek help. Take the GamCare self-assessment: gamcare.org.uk/self-assessment
Tools to Stay in Control
Most licensed bookmakers offer tools to help you manage your gambling:
- Deposit limits: Set daily, weekly, or monthly limits on how much you can deposit.
- Loss limits: Cap the amount you can lose in a given period.
- Time limits: Restrict how long you spend gambling in a single session.
- Reality checks: Pop-up reminders showing how long you have been playing.
- Cool-off periods: Temporarily suspend your account for a set period.
- Self-exclusion: Permanently or temporarily exclude yourself from licensed bookmakers through national self-exclusion schemes.
Self-Exclusion: GAMSTOP
GAMSTOP is the UK's national self-exclusion scheme. Registering with GAMSTOP will block you from all online gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for a period of your choosing (minimum 6 months).
