Organizational authorship
Resource pages currently use SportSignals as their organizational author. We do not assign a person byline where a named author or reviewer is not available. When named contributors are introduced, their credentials and role in the work will be stated on the page.
How sources are selected
We prefer sources in this order:
- Regulators, legislation, government publications, and official rulebooks.
- Peer-reviewed research, original papers, and primary datasets.
- Official operator or exchange rules for product-specific statements.
- Documented SportSignals methodology and measured product data.
- Reputable specialist publications where no suitable primary source exists.
Material numeric, regulatory, product, performance, historical, and time-sensitive claims require a source link beside the claim. The source list records what each reference supports, but it is not a substitute for a proximate citation. Affiliate roundups and unattributed summaries are not used as primary evidence.
Review status and publication gates
Structural preparation is not the same as evidence review. A prepared page may have an answer summary, topic links, an initial source list, and a defined commercial mode while still being queued for a claim-level check. Queued pages do not display an evidence-checked date and are excluded from the reviewed LLM corpus.
A page is marked reviewed only after calculations, material claims, examples, title intent, jurisdiction, and source support have been checked. The release gate also rejects known calculation errors, unsupported authority language, broken primary sources, and title-to-body promise mismatches.
Accuracy, uncertainty, and betting risk
Betting outcomes are uncertain. Expected value, model probability, historical return, and closing-line movement do not guarantee a future result. Our guides should explain assumptions, estimation error, bookmaker margin, and variance wherever those concepts affect the conclusion.

Jurisdiction and changing rules
Gambling law, payment rules, consumer protections, and product availability vary by location. Pages that discuss these subjects identify the relevant jurisdiction and use current regulator or first-party sources. Time-sensitive pages receive shorter review cycles than evergreen definitions and mathematical explanations.
Updates and corrections
A published date records when a resource first appeared. An updated date changes only after a substantive revision. The evidence-checked date records the latest source review and is absent while that review is queued. Where useful, a change summary identifies the substantive correction or expansion. Corrections are made in place unless a URL has become misleading enough to require a separately reviewed consolidation or permanent redirect.
Commercial relationships
SportSignals may earn commission from commercial partners. Commercial relationships do not change the evidence standard applied to educational claims. Operator-specific features, offers, and rules must be supported by current first-party information and clearly separated from general guidance.
Betting calls to action and odds modules are suppressed on gambling-harm, self-exclusion, and stop-betting pages. Bankroll-risk and regulatory content uses a reduced commercial treatment.
