Westerlo vs SK Beveren prediction, odds and how to watch

KV Kortrijk finally got off the mark in the Belgian Pro League with a narrow 1-0 victory over SK Beveren, Jamie Roche's 52nd-minute finish doing just enough to separate two sides with very different stories to tell.

Westerlo claimed a deserved 2-0 victory at Sint-Truiden on Sunday, with Norman Bassette and Cisse Sandra scoring either side of half-time to leave the home side with nothing to show for 17 shots.

SK Beveren shut out Sint-Truiden with a disciplined second-half performance in the Belgian Pro League, with Chris Lokesa's penalty and Jearl Margaritha's finish doing the damage. Sint-Truiden had the ball and wasted it completely.

Westerlo beat Standard Liège 4-2 in the Belgian Pro League despite being second-best in possession and attacks for much of the match. Clinical finishing and a ruthless second-half performance did the job.

Genk put on a commanding display at home, scoring four without reply to leave SK Beveren with nothing to show from a night when they simply could not compete where it mattered.

SK Beveren put OH Leuven to the sword with three second-half goals, ending a run of poor form with a statement clean sheet. Chris Lokesa, Jearl Margaritha, and Elohim Kaboré did the damage as Leuven's wretched run continued.

Westerlo head into Sunday's Belgian Pro League clash with three defeats from their last five and a defence that has shipped 14 goals in that run. Antwerp arrive with their own inconsistencies, but the head-to-head record tells a very clear story.

SK Beveren host Lommel SK on Friday night in a Belgian Pro League fixture that could go a long way to defining both clubs' early-season confidence. The form book gives Lommel the edge, but Beveren have shown they can hurt anyone on their day.
