Sarpsborg 08 1-2 Sandefjord result, stats and report

Sandefjord ended a run of poor form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Start, with all three goals arriving in the final half-hour after a triple substitution changed the game completely. Start were reduced to ten men and offered nothing going forward.

Sarpsborg 08 bossed the ball and the chances but had to settle for a point after Fredrikstad refused to buckle, with the game decided inside the first half hour.

Brann dominated in attack with 21 shots to Sandefjord's 13, hit the woodwork once, and still could not find a way through in a frustrating Norwegian Eliteserien goalless draw. Sandefjord's goalkeeper and defence held firm despite a side desperately short of form and fitness.

Sarpsborg 08 have not won in five Eliteserien matches and face a Rosenborg side that has won four of their last five. Something has to give on Sunday.

Sandefjord have won just once in their last ten Eliteserien matches and face a Lillestrøm side that has won two of their last three. Something has to give on Sunday afternoon.

Aalesund host Sarpsborg 08 on Sunday with a defence that has shipped 26 goals in ten matches. Sarpsborg have not won in five but they have not lost much either.

Rosenborg host a Sandefjord side carrying a battered injury and suspension list on Saturday, and the home side's dominant recent record in Trondheim makes this a match with real conviction behind it.
