Nice vs Rennes prediction, odds and how to watch

Lyon edged out Nice 2-1 in Ligue 1 on Sunday night, with goals from Elye Wahi and Tanner Tessmann proving enough even after Keito Nakamura's red card left the hosts with ten men for the final twenty minutes.

Paris FC survived a chaotic Sunday afternoon at home to edge Rennes 4-3 in Ligue 1, with Lassine Sinayoko converting a stoppage-time penalty to settle a match that had everything. Maxime Lopez grabbed a first-half brace, Estéban Lepaul scored three penalties for Rennes, and neither side gave the referee a quiet afternoon.

Nice got the job done against Strasbourg at home, winning 2-1 thanks to Jonathan Clauss's 81st-minute winner, but four big chances created and four big chances missed tells you everything you need to know about where this side is right now.

Rennes put Auxerre to the sword at home, with a composed first-half lead, a quick second-half strike from Adrien Thomasson, and two clinical late goals from substitute Boulaye Dia rounding off a commanding 4-1 victory in Ligue 1.

Nice and Rennes meet at the Allianz Riviera on Saturday with neither side able to keep a clean sheet consistently, and the head-to-head record giving Rennes reason for confidence.

Strasbourg arrive at Rennes on Sunday without a clean sheet in their last five Ligue 1 matches and carrying four injury absences. Rennes have won this fixture before and they intend to win it again.

Stade Brestois 29 host Nice on Friday evening with both sides carrying inconsistent form and leaky defences. Neither team has kept a clean sheet in their last five Ligue 1 matches.

Rennes arrive into Sunday's Ligue 1 clash on the back of four wins from their last five, but Lille bring a defensive record that demands respect. Something has to give.
