Lille 2-0 Troyes result, stats and report

Lens picked up a convincing 3-1 win at Troyes on Saturday evening, with Timothé Nkada's first-half strike and a Florian Thauvin-inspired second half proving too much for a Troyes side that had the ball but none of the cutting edge. A calamitous own goal set the tone for a night Troyes will want to forget quickly.

Brest dominated large portions of this Ligue 1 fixture but had to settle for a point after Olivier Giroud converted from the spot to cancel out Mama Baldé's early opener. Lille were second best for long stretches and will know it.

Marseille made it look straightforward at Troyes, with Amine Harit's second-half finish and a stoppage-time penalty securing a 2-0 victory over a home side that lacked the basics to compete.

Troyes arrive in Toulouse having lost all five of their completed Ligue 1 matches, conceding fifteen goals along the way. This is not a contest. It is a reckoning.

Rennes arrive into Sunday's Ligue 1 clash on the back of four wins from their last five, but Lille bring a defensive record that demands respect. Something has to give.

Paris Saint-Germain host a Troyes side that have conceded thirteen goals in five Ligue 1 matches. This should be straightforward. The question is whether PSG actually turn up.

Mikel Arteta has confirmed Piero Hincapié and Martín Zubimendi were both injured in a bespoke post-match training session he has run without incident for seven years, a self-inflicted blow that thins Arsenal's squad ahead of a must-win Champions League tie with Lille.
