Leeds 4-1 Newcastle United result, stats and report

Leeds and Manchester United played out a flat 1-1 draw at Elland Road, with Bryan Mbeumo's first-half goal cancelled out by Dominic Calvert-Lewin early in the second half. Neither side did enough to win it.

Johan Manzambi's first-half header was enough for Aston Villa to take all three points at Newcastle, as the hosts managed just one shot on target in a flat and toothless performance.

Newcastle United host Arsenal on Saturday having conceded twelve goals in their last five Premier League matches. Arsenal arrive with four wins from five and a clean sheet habit that makes them very dangerous visitors.

Chelsea have been all over the place in recent weeks and Leeds will fancy their chances of nicking something on Saturday. This is a fixture that could go several ways, and that alone tells you everything about where Chelsea are right now.

Bournemouth welcome Leeds to the Vitality on Saturday with both sides leaking goals and carrying injuries. The head-to-head record tells you everything you need to know: these two cannot keep a clean sheet against each other.

Sunderland have not won in five Premier League matches and are leaking goals at an alarming rate. Leeds arrive with draws to spare but precious little conviction.

Pierre Sage and Matthias Jaissle both face scrutiny over turbulent starts to their Crystal Palace and Newcastle tenures, but the pressure is wildly uneven: Sage may be sacked with a defeat, while Jaissle enjoys public backing despite Newcastle's 'chaotic' reputation. Sunday's clash at Selhurst Park could decide which project survives.
