Elversberg 3-2 Bayer Leverkusen result, stats and report

Jonas Hofmann scored twice inside three first-half minutes to hand Bayer Leverkusen a commanding 2-0 victory over OFI in the UEFA Europa League, with the Greek side offering precious little to suggest they could live with their opponents.

SC Freiburg came from behind to win 2-1 at Bayer Leverkusen, with Patrik Schick's 76th-minute strike settling a game Leverkusen dominated in territory but could not control where it mattered. Ibrahim Maza and Schick did the damage for an away side that arrived with a point to prove and left with three.

Bayer Leverkusen host Paderborn at the BayArena on Saturday with form, firepower, and every logical reason to win. Paderborn have kept zero clean sheets in their last five Bundesliga matches. This should be straightforward.

SC Freiburg arrive at Elversberg on Saturday carrying six absentees and a point to prove after a defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. Elversberg are unpredictable, leaky at the back, and absolutely capable of making this a problem.

Bayer Leverkusen look the part at home, but Stuttgart have won both previous meetings between these sides and they have the head-to-head record to make Saturday uncomfortable.

Hoffenheim have lost four of their last five Bundesliga matches and kept zero clean sheets in that run. Bayer Leverkusen arrive with fourteen goals in five and no intention of being gentle.

RB Leipzig host Elversberg on Saturday carrying a form record that should embarrass them. The question is not whether Leipzig are good enough. It is whether they care enough.
