Arsenal 3-0 Coventry result, stats and report

Tottenham Hotspur ended a miserable five-match winless streak with a 3-1 Premier League victory over Coventry, with James Maddison, Omar Marmoush, and Ben Davies on the scoresheet. Coventry showed moments of fight but lacked the basics to stay in it.

Noni Madueke's 80th-minute right-foot strike gave Arsenal a hard-fought 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest, with the visitors' superior discipline and desire proving the difference on a day when Forest had plenty of the ball but almost nothing to show for it.

Sunderland arrive at the CBS Arena on Saturday without a Premier League win in their last five matches and having conceded twelve goals in that run. Coventry have problems of their own, but this one looks like a contest decided by who wants it more.

Arsenal have won both recent meetings with Everton without conceding a single goal. The question on Saturday is whether Everton have enough desire to make this one different.

Coventry have won back-to-back Premier League matches and will fancy their chances at home. Fulham arrive stubborn and hard to beat, and that makes Saturday's fixture genuinely interesting.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been watching Barcelona wonderkid Xavi Espart, but a release clause worth more than €100million against a €25m valuation shows Barcelona have no intention of selling cheaply. This is speculative scouting, not an active transfer pursuit.
