Albacete 0-1 Oviedo result, stats and report

Sabadell controlled the key moments and punished Oviedo with three well-taken goals, running out comfortable 3-1 winners in La Liga 2. Oviedo had the ball but could not do anything useful with it when it mattered.

Córdoba took all three points at Albacete on Friday night, winning 2-1 in a match that Albacete dominated on paper but could not convert into a result. Alex Rubio struck inside the first minute and the lead held until Albacete hit back twice, only for Córdoba to edge it in a game that said everything about where both clubs are right now.

Oviedo travelled to Real Valladolid and won 3-0, with goals from Carlos Domínguez, Dani Calvo, and Pablo Sáenz sealing a result that Valladolid had absolutely no answer to. This was a performance that exposed everything wrong with a home side who simply did not compete.

Granada dominated large spells at home but were pegged back by a late Albacete penalty from Higinio Marín, leaving both sides to share a 1-1 draw in La Liga 2. Owen Emeka's second-half opener looked like it might be enough, but Albacete dug in and snatched a point they will take.

Albacete have not won in five La Liga 2 matches and have kept zero clean sheets in that run. SD Eibar arrive having won all five of their most recent fixtures and will smell blood.

Ceuta have shipped 15 goals in their last five La Liga 2 matches without winning once. Oviedo arrive having kept four clean sheets in five. Something has to give, and the evidence says it probably will not be Oviedo's backline.

Sporting Gijón host a struggling Albacete side on Saturday evening with form on their side and a clean sheet record that demands respect. One team is building something. The other is trying to stop the bleeding.

Real Valladolid host Albacete on Sunday in a La Liga 2 fixture that reads like a crisis meeting. Both sides are shipping goals and losing matches. Something has to give.
