Venezia 2-4 Fiorentina result, stats and report

Como were sharper, braver, and more clinical than a Fiorentina side that had no answers once the visitors took control in the first half. Three points, and it was not even close.

Venezia ended a run of five consecutive Serie A defeats to beat Napoli 1-0, with Akor Adams scoring the only goal and Kevin De Bruyne missing a penalty as Napoli's afternoon fell apart completely.

Nikola Krstović scored twice inside the first half hour as Atalanta put Venezia to the sword in a 3-1 Serie A victory, with the visitors' five-match losing run showing no sign of ending.

Genoa ended a four-match losing run with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, racing into a two-goal lead inside 15 minutes before Johan Vásquez's own goal gave the visitors a lifeline that ultimately came to nothing.

Venezia have lost all five of their last Serie A matches and conceded thirteen goals in the process. Udinese arrive in no great shape either, but one of these sides has to end the night with something.

Sassuolo host Fiorentina on Monday evening with both sides short on confidence and shorter on defensive solidity. One of them has to stop the rot.

Venezia arrive at Como without a single point from their last five Serie A matches. Como have the form, the home advantage, and every reason to expect three points.

Fiorentina head into Thursday's Serie A clash without a clean sheet in their last five matches, and Atalanta arrive in no mood to be charitable. Something has to give, and the evidence says it will be the home defence.
