Sutjeska 0-2 Kairat result, stats and report

Anderlecht were utterly ruthless at home, beating Kairat 3-0 to complete a comprehensive double over the Kazakh side in the UEFA Europa League. Kairat offered nothing in attack and were torn apart by an Anderlecht side that controlled every department of the match.

Anderlecht were three goals to the good by half-time in Almaty, with a third-minute own goal setting the tone for a structured, disciplined performance that Kairat never found an answer to. The game was effectively over before the home side had time to settle into any kind of shape.

Levski Sofia won 1-0 in Almaty despite Kairat dominating possession, shots, and corners for large portions of the match. The detail nobody is talking about is just how well Levski's structure absorbed everything Kairat threw at them.

Levski Sofia edged out Kairat with a 90th-minute winner to extend their perfect home record in the Champions League qualifiers. It was grim viewing for most of the night but the three points are what matter.

ML Vitebsk came to Podgorica, went ahead early, survived a late scare, and sealed it in stoppage time. A controlled away performance that tells you everything about where these two sides are right now.

Omonia Nicosia claimed a 1-0 Champions League qualifying victory over Kairat, scoring early and then defending with everything they had as Kairat threw 11 corners, 12 shots, and 64% possession at them without reward.

Anderlecht carry genuine momentum into their Europa League meeting with Kairat on 27 August, but the thing nobody is talking about is how Kairat's numbers on the ball tell a very different story to their results away from home.

Levski Sofia arrive in Almaty carrying a one-goal advantage from last week's first leg. Rafa Mbeki assesses whether Kairat have the quality to overturn the deficit and reach the next round of the Champions League.
