Sirius 4-4 Mjällby result, stats and report

Nikola Vasic scored twice in five second-half minutes as GAIS dismantled a shambolic Mjällby side 3-0, extending the hosts' run without a clean sheet to ten matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Sirius snatched a 2-1 win at Örgryte with a Sebastian Lagerlund header deep into stoppage time, completing a comeback after the hosts had led through Henrik Castegren's early goal. Örgryte's defensive frailty and lack of cutting edge ultimately cost them again.

Mjällby dominated the ball and outshot AIK on the night, but a Jacob Bergström header gave the hosts an early lead that Axel Kouame cancelled out before half-time. A draw was probably the right result, even if neither side will be satisfied.

Sirius earned a deserved 2-0 win over Degerfors in the Swedish Allsvenskan, recovering from a second-minute own goal scare to dominate the contest through desire, duels, and a clinical first-half finish from Melker Heier.

Mjällby bossed large parts of this match with 17 shots and 58% possession but could not find a winner, as Häcken held on after Jacob Bergström's early header was cancelled out by Julius Lindberg's second-half equaliser.

Västerås SK host a Mjällby side that has conceded 12 goals in their last five matches. Sunday's lunchtime fixture in the Swedish Allsvenskan looks like a serious test of Mjällby's defensive accountability.

Sirius have lost three of their last five in the Allsvenskan and Elfsborg arrive in decent nick. Sunday's lunchtime fixture has the look of a match that matters more than it might appear on the surface.

Mjällby have conceded 14 goals in their last five Allsvenskan matches and cannot buy a clean sheet. Degerfors arrive with three wins from five but a longer record that tells a different story.
