Philadelphia Union were utterly dominant in San Diego, winning 5-0 with Cavan Sullivan grabbing a brace and the hosts reduced to a shambles after a VAR card at half-time. San Diego never competed.

Kévin Denkey scored twice, including a 90th-minute equaliser, as Cincinnati clawed back a 3-3 draw with Charlotte in MLS, despite dominating every statistical category on the night.

Two teams in rotten form collide in MLS on Sunday, but Cincinnati's defensive numbers are in a place beyond embarrassing. Columbus Crew arrive with problems of their own, but this one stinks of opportunity for the visitors.

Chicago Fire have not won in five MLS matches and cannot keep a clean sheet to save their lives. Philadelphia Union arrive in Illinois having lost none of their last ten.

Cincinnati head into this MLS fixture having conceded 14 goals in their last five matches. New England arrive with three wins from five and a point to prove.

Two teams that cannot keep the ball out of their own net meet in Atlanta on Saturday night. Something has to give, and based on the evidence, plenty will.
