Mjällby 0-0 Västerås SK result, stats and report

Nikola Vasic scored twice in five second-half minutes as GAIS dismantled a shambolic Mjällby side 3-0, extending the hosts' run without a clean sheet to ten matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Mjällby dominated the ball and outshot AIK on the night, but a Jacob Bergström header gave the hosts an early lead that Axel Kouame cancelled out before half-time. A draw was probably the right result, even if neither side will be satisfied.

Västerås SK produced a stunning second-half turnaround to thrash AIK 4-1 at home, scoring four times after the break to leave the hosts with serious questions to answer about their defensive standards and attitude.

Mjällby bossed large parts of this match with 17 shots and 58% possession but could not find a winner, as Häcken held on after Jacob Bergström's early header was cancelled out by Julius Lindberg's second-half equaliser.

Salzburg dismantled a depleted and disorganised Mjällby side 3-0 in the UEFA Europa League, with Karim Konaté scoring twice and Haris Tabakovic adding a third to confirm a dominant home performance.

Västerås SK host a Mjällby side that has conceded 12 goals in their last five matches. Sunday's lunchtime fixture in the Swedish Allsvenskan looks like a serious test of Mjällby's defensive accountability.

Mjällby have conceded 14 goals in their last five Allsvenskan matches and cannot buy a clean sheet. Degerfors arrive with three wins from five but a longer record that tells a different story.

IFK Göteborg head into Friday's Allsvenskan clash carrying genuine home form and a point to prove after a patchy wider run. Västerås SK arrive organised but limited in attack, and the only question that matters is whether Göteborg have the desire to see it out.
