Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-1 Lugano result, stats and report

Hannes Delcroix scored a hat-trick as Lugano dismantled a shambolic Lausanne Sport side 4-0, exposing every weakness a struggling home team has been hiding in plain sight.

Lugano's five-match winning run was halted as Young Boys fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw, with substitute Albian Ajeti's 80th-minute strike completing the comeback.

Maccabi Tel Aviv dominated nearly every department but could not find a winner, as Lugano substitute Dereck Moncada equalised in the 79th minute to earn a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Sion controlled possession, created more chances, and had nearly three times as many shots as Lugano, but Lugano won 2-1 in the Swiss Super League thanks to a third-minute header and a late Beckham Castro strike that settled the argument.

Lugano arrive at this Swiss Super League fixture with five straight wins and serious momentum. Luzern have not lost in five but have drawn three of them, and that tells you everything you need to know about who is doing what here.

Lugano travel to the Pontaise sitting second in the Swiss Super League table with nine points from three games and just two goals conceded all season. Lausanne Sport, meanwhile, are shipping goals at an alarming rate and carry a significant injury burden into Sunday's fixture.

Two of the Swiss Super League's form sides meet in Ticino on Saturday evening, with Lugano's perfect home record facing its stiffest test yet against a Young Boys side that arrives as league leaders and prolific scorers.
