Levante 2-4 Barcelona result, stats and report

Barcelona ran out commanding 5-2 winners at Real Betis on Saturday evening, with Facundo Bernal's red card for violent conduct in the 54th minute effectively ending the contest as a competitive affair. Goals from Lamine Yamal, Rodri, Gabriel Jesus, Eric García, and Dani Olmo sealed a ruthless away win.

Deportivo La Coruña rescued a point through Daniel Requena Sánchez's 82nd-minute equaliser after Levante had taken the lead through Bil Nsongo. A hard-fought draw at Riazor settled nothing for two sides who cannot find consistency.

Barcelona were ruthless in Istanbul, putting four goals past Galatasaray to leave the Turks with serious questions about their ability to compete at this level. This was not a match. It was a demonstration.

Levante and Sevilla shared a remarkable 3-3 draw at the Ciutat de València, with Sevilla snatching a late equaliser through Ifeanyi Ndukwe in the tenth minute of stoppage time, before Levante's Isaac Romero was dismissed for a second yellow card in extraordinary closing scenes.

Barcelona arrive at El Clasico on the back of five straight La Liga wins and 22 goals scored. Real Madrid have questions to answer, but they always show up for this one.

Real Sociedad arrive at this one in serious form, scoring freely and with genuine conviction. Levante have not won in five La Liga matches and look like a side waiting to get hurt.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been watching Barcelona wonderkid Xavi Espart, but a release clause worth more than €100million against a €25m valuation shows Barcelona have no intention of selling cheaply. This is speculative scouting, not an active transfer pursuit.

Vinicius Jr has been banned for four matches by Spain's disciplinary committee after pulling Nathan Saliba's hair during Real Madrid's win over Villarreal, ruling him out of El Clasico on 25 October. Jose Mourinho's absence from the post-match press conference has fuelled talk of growing frustration behind the scenes.
