Halmstad 2-1 AIK result, stats and report

Halmstad pulled off a dramatic comeback win against AIK, with substitute Malte Persson scoring in the 90th minute to seal all three points after Johan Hove had levelled for the visitors.

Halmstad nicked all three points with a stoppage-time goal from substitute Ludvig Arvidsson, defying the run of play completely after Kalmar created four big chances and failed to score from any of them.

Örgryte took the lead through a 24th-minute right-foot finish and looked to be heading for a precious home win, but Halmstad equalised before half-time and created enough chances to suggest this point flattered the hosts. Sophie Hargreaves breaks down what the numbers and the pattern of play reveal about both sides.

Halmstad have conceded 16 goals in their last 10 Allsvenskan matches and now face a Hammarby side that has scored 24 in the same window. Something has to give on Sunday.

Elfsborg host a Halmstad side leaking goals at an alarming rate in Monday's Swedish Allsvenskan fixture, and the home side look well placed to take full advantage of their opponents' defensive frailties.

Halmstad host AIK at the bottom of the Allsvenskan table on Sunday, and the gap between these two sides right now is considerable. AIK arrive having won four of their last five away fixtures. Halmstad have not kept a clean sheet away from home all season, and their home record is barely any better.

Two of the Allsvenskan's most troubled sides meet at Degerfors on Saturday, with both clubs mired in the bottom half and Halmstad arriving in genuinely desperate shape. The points are not just important here. They may be defining.
