Fiorentina 1-1 Napoli result, stats and report

Como were sharper, braver, and more clinical than a Fiorentina side that had no answers once the visitors took control in the first half. Three points, and it was not even close.

Venezia ended a run of five consecutive Serie A defeats to beat Napoli 1-0, with Akor Adams scoring the only goal and Kevin De Bruyne missing a penalty as Napoli's afternoon fell apart completely.

Villarreal put Napoli to the sword at home, running out convincing 3-1 winners in the UEFA Champions League thanks to goals from Amir Rrahmani, Georges Mikautadze, Santiago Mouriño, and a late Tani Oluwaseyi strike for the visitors.

Genoa ended a four-match losing run with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, racing into a two-goal lead inside 15 minutes before Johan Vásquez's own goal gave the visitors a lifeline that ultimately came to nothing.

Napoli head into Saturday's clash with AS Roma off the back of a home defeat to Venezia and carrying a squad stretched thin by injuries. Roma arrive unbeaten in their last five Serie A matches and growing in confidence.

Lazio head to Naples on Sunday carrying four wins from five in Serie A, while Napoli look inconsistent and stretched at the back. Something has to give.

Sassuolo host Fiorentina on Monday evening with both sides short on confidence and shorter on defensive solidity. One of them has to stop the rot.

Juventus host Napoli on Sunday evening in a Serie A fixture that has real weight to it. One side is building something at home. The other is carrying injuries and inconsistency into Turin.
