Djurgården 4-0 Mjällby result, stats and report

Nikola Vasic scored twice in five second-half minutes as GAIS dismantled a shambolic Mjällby side 3-0, extending the hosts' run without a clean sheet to ten matches in the Swedish Allsvenskan.

Elfsborg came to Stockholm and did what nobody had managed in five attempts, beating Djurgården 2-1 to end a remarkable clean sheet streak and claim a deserved away victory.

Mjällby dominated the ball and outshot AIK on the night, but a Jacob Bergström header gave the hosts an early lead that Axel Kouame cancelled out before half-time. A draw was probably the right result, even if neither side will be satisfied.

Djurgården made it four wins from their last five Allsvenskan matches with a composed 2-0 home victory over GAIS, goals from Kristian Strømland Lien and B. Hegland doing the damage either side of half-time. GAIS finished the match with two red cards and no answer to a Djurgården defence that simply refused to be broken.

Mjällby bossed large parts of this match with 17 shots and 58% possession but could not find a winner, as Häcken held on after Jacob Bergström's early header was cancelled out by Julius Lindberg's second-half equaliser.

Västerås SK host a Mjällby side that has conceded 12 goals in their last five matches. Sunday's lunchtime fixture in the Swedish Allsvenskan looks like a serious test of Mjällby's defensive accountability.

Djurgården arrive at Brommapojkarna on Friday having kept five consecutive clean sheets and conceded nothing in their last five Allsvenskan matches. Brommapojkarna have shipped nine goals in their last five. You do the maths.

Hammarby host Djurgården in a Stockholm derby on Sunday with both sides in serious form, but it is the visitors' defensive record that makes this one genuinely difficult to call.
