Brøndby IF 3-2 Sønderjyske Fodbold result, stats and report

Andreas Cornelius came off the bench to head home the only goal of a tight Copenhagen derby, as FC København's superior cutting edge proved the difference over a Brøndby side that competed hard but created nothing of note.

Sønderjyske Fodbold ended a run of four consecutive Danish Superliga defeats with a convincing 4-2 home victory over Randers FC, with goals from Osaze De Rosario, Brynjar Ingi Bjarnason, Mohamed Cherif Haidara, and Ismaïl Seydi sealing three points.

Brøndby IF put four past FC Midtjylland on Monday evening, with Stanley Iheanacho scoring twice in a commanding away performance that exposed the home side's defensive frailties. FC Midtjylland showed fight but their discipline and shape crumbled under sustained visiting pressure.

Lyngby Boldklub were denied all three points at home as substitute Ismaïl Seydi equalised for Sønderjyske Fodbold in the 75th minute, cancelling out Simon Colyn's early opener in a 1-1 Danish Superliga draw.

AGF have not won in five Danish Superliga matches and cannot keep a clean sheet. Sønderjyske arrive with four major absentees and one win in their last ten. Something has to give on Monday night in Aarhus.

Brøndby IF host Lyngby Boldklub on Sunday needing a response after back-to-back Danish Superliga defeats. Lyngby arrive with problems of their own, but they have shown enough to make this uncomfortable.
