Benevento 1-2 Modena result, stats and report

Modena came from behind to beat Empoli 2-1 in Serie B, with Andrea Belotti and Giuseppe Ambrosino scoring after the break to overturn Gerard Yepes's early opener for the visitors. Empoli dominated the ball and created chance after chance but paid the price for poor finishing.

Südtirol led through Alvin Okoro's first-half goal but Giuseppe Ambrosino equalised two minutes from time to snatch a point for Modena in a match the visitors dominated on the numbers.

Giacomo Olzer scored twice before half-time and Giuseppe Caso added a third as Modena produced a clinical away performance to dismantle Cremonese 3-0 in Serie B. Cremonese created plenty of activity but zero end product, and that tells you everything you need to know.

Avellino took all three points at Modena with a Michele Besaggio goal in the eighth minute, and Modena never showed enough desire or threat to drag themselves back into it.

Carrarese head into Saturday's Serie B fixture against Modena without a win in their last five completed matches. Modena are no world-beaters themselves, but they look a different animal to the side hosting them.

Modena have managed just one clean sheet in their last ten Serie B matches, and Hellas Verona are coming to town having scored eight goals in four away outings. This has the makings of a scrap, and somebody's defensive frailties are about to be brutally exposed.

Modena have been genuinely difficult to beat at home this season, but Empoli travel to the Stadio Braglia having already won their opening Serie B fixture and carrying the confidence of a side with nothing to fear on the road.
