Anderlecht 1-0 KV Kortrijk result, stats and report

Lyon took all three points in Brussels with a 2-1 victory over Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa League, but Anderlecht's goalkeeper made eight saves and the home side hit the woodwork. Lyon did the basics when it mattered. Anderlecht did not.

La Louvière ended a run of four straight Belgian Pro League defeats with a commanding 3-0 victory over KV Kortrijk, as Mustapha Isah struck twice and substitute Elias Filet added a late third. Kortrijk, winless in their last five, had no answer.

Anderlecht won 1-0 at Mechelen thanks to Tawfik Bentayeb's first-half finish, despite the home side controlling possession and racking up four yellow cards in a frustrating night at the AFAS Stadion.

Anderlecht were utterly ruthless at home, beating Kairat 3-0 to complete a comprehensive double over the Kazakh side in the UEFA Europa League. Kairat offered nothing in attack and were torn apart by an Anderlecht side that controlled every department of the match.

Sporting Charleroi made it four wins from five in the Belgian Pro League with a convincing 3-1 victory at KV Kortrijk, a side that has now conceded six goals without reply in their two previous outings and looks badly short of the basics.

Anderlecht arrive in Croatia carrying serious form and serious goals. Dinamo Zagreb have barely got off the mark in this competition. Something has to give.

KV Kortrijk arrive in Genk having lost five consecutive Belgian Pro League matches and scored just once. Genk have their own inconsistencies to sort out, but this is a game they should be winning.

Cercle Brugge head into Saturday's home fixture without a win in their last five Belgian Pro League matches, and Anderlecht arrive having kept four clean sheets in their last five. Something has to give.
