Córdoba took all three points at Albacete on Friday night, winning 2-1 in a match that Albacete dominated on paper but could not convert into a result. Eldense came to El Molinón and did the basics well enough to steal three points, with substitute Javi Martínez's 76th-minute right-foot finish the difference. Sporting Gijón had the territory and the cards, but they did not have the ruthlessness when it mattered.

Granada dominated large spells at home but were pegged back by a late Albacete penalty from Higinio Marín, leaving both sides to share a 1-1 draw in La Liga 2. Owen Emeka's second-half opener looked like it might be enough, but Albacete dug in and snatched a point they will take.

Albacete have not won in five La Liga 2 matches and have kept zero clean sheets in that run. SD Eibar arrive having won all five of their most recent fixtures and will smell blood.
