Al Riyadh 1-0 Al Fateh result, stats and report

NEOM SC put in a commanding home performance to beat Al Fateh 4-2 in the Saudi Pro League, with Alexandre Lacazette and substitute Valentín Vada among the scorers in a match that was never really in doubt despite Al Fateh's occasional moments.

Al Riyadh bossed possession and created more than NEOM SC in almost every department, but Teddy Okou's 61st-minute strike settled a scrappy Saudi Pro League contest in favour of the visitors. Sometimes the ball goes in and sometimes it doesn't. That's football.

Al Draih took all three points at Al Fateh thanks to two converted penalties, with Al Fateh's Faisal Al-Abdulwahed pulling one back but ultimately unable to rescue a side that has now won just once in their last ten Saudi Pro League matches.

Al Fateh dominated Al Ittihad in every measurable way but could not find a winner in a goalless Saudi Pro League draw, hitting the woodwork three times and missing four big chances in a performance that will haunt their players for days.

Al Khaleej ground out a goalless draw with Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League, but the numbers tell a story of two sides who cannot finish and one side that simply cannot score. Neither kept a clean sheet with any conviction. They just ran out of ideas at the same time.

Al Taawoun controlled the match from start to finish but could not convert four big chances, leaving the points shared in a goalless draw against Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Hilal arrive at Al Riyadh on Friday in the kind of form that makes you feel sorry for whoever is next on the fixture list. Al Riyadh are next on the fixture list.

Al Hazm host Al Fateh on Thursday 15 October in a Saudi Pro League fixture that two struggling sides simply cannot afford to lose. Neither team has looked convincing in recent weeks, and something has to give.
