Verification sequence
- Confirm current online sports-betting and FanDuel availability for the reader's state.
- Follow the local regulator or product link to the active house rules.
- Record the exact soccer event, market, line, period and participation rule.
- Identify a standard parlay, same-game parlay or another named product.
- Capture the accepted price, stake, maximum return, limit and timestamp.
- Save promotion terms separately from the underlying ticket.
- Apply the local push, void, related-leg and settlement rules after the event.
Start with local regulation
The AGA State of Play map distinguishes retail and online sports-betting availability. Verify the current state regulator directly because availability and product restrictions are not national.
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission's FanDuel record is one regulator example: it records licence status, links the active rules and provides a complaints route. It does not establish FanDuel availability or identical rules in another state.
Read general, parlay and soccer sections together
The FanDuel rules effective in Massachusetts from 30 March 2026 contain general, parlay, in-play, futures and soccer provisions. The document states that sport-specific rules prevail where they conflict with general rules.
| Rule layer | Question to answer |
|---|---|
| General | Which price, acceptance, settlement and correction terms apply? |
| Parlay | How are related selections, pushes and void legs handled? |
| Soccer | What counts as normal time and how are player or tournament markets settled? |
| State | Which restrictions, age, location and complaints routes apply? |
| Promotion | What extra eligibility, cap, expiry and payout terms apply? |
Worked receipt check
For an illustrative standard ticket accepted at decimal 1.80, 1.95 and 2.05:
Combined price = 1.80 * 1.95 * 2.05 = 7.1955
Gross return on $10 = 10 * 7.1955 = $71.96
The accepted receipt remains controlling, including any internal precision. Related same-game selections may receive a product quote that cannot be reproduced by multiplying standalone prices.
Live information and acceptance
The cited Massachusetts rules warn that broadcasts can be delayed, displayed live information may be inaccurate, markets can be suspended and requests can take time to process. For a live parlay, store the match-state timestamp, quote timestamp, request response and actual acceptance separately.
Push, void and correction log
Do not summarize settlement as win or loss only. Record every affected leg, rule section, original price, revised price, final result source and account adjustment. Keep resettlements as new ledger events so the cash trail remains auditable.
Account controls
The Massachusetts regulator record lists deposit, wager, time, timeout and self-exclusion tools described for the local product. The AGA responsible-play guidance supplies broader US support routes. Use controls independently of promotions and betting results.
