So Genoa's home games are open, a bit chaotic, and they are not clinical enough to punish anyone.

Honestly, I looked at the numbers for once and even I could see this was a mess. Eighteen shots a game and two on target. That is the kind of stat that makes Marcus go very quiet and then say something devastating in a calm voice. Do not @ me for repeating it.

Napoli Away: Absolutely Ruthless

Now flip it around and look at Napoli on the road. In their last ten away games, they have won two, drawn two and lost zero. Unbeaten in four away from home. They are only conceding one goal in those four games total. One goal. The away clean sheet percentage is at seventy five percent. They are having seventeen shots per game away from home and five of them are on target. Compare that to Genoa's two on target at home and you start to understand the quality gap here.

Napoli are also dominating possession on the road at sixty seven percent. They go to places, take the ball, make the home side chase it and then pick them off. That is a really disciplined, controlled way of winning football matches. Respect where it is due.

Injuries to Watch

There is team news to factor in and it hits both sides. Genoa are dealing with two notable absentees. One is a long-term injury that has been ongoing since March, so that player has been out for a while now. The second is a major injury that started in May with no expected return date. Two key players missing for the hosts is not ideal when you are already shipping goals at home.

Napoli have three players currently out with moderate injuries. One of those has an expected return date of the end of October, so they will not be seeing that player any time soon. The other two have no return date confirmed yet. Three absentees is a concern but Napoli's recent form suggests the squad is coping just fine without them.

Here is my thinking. Napoli's away clean sheet record is brilliant. Genoa cannot buy a goal on target at home. The away BTTS rate in Napoli's recent games is only twenty five percent. Everything is pointing toward a tight, controlled Napoli performance where Genoa struggle to score.
