Watford 0-4 Coventry result, stats and report

Tottenham Hotspur ended a miserable five-match winless streak with a 3-1 Premier League victory over Coventry, with James Maddison, Omar Marmoush, and Ben Davies on the scoresheet. Coventry showed moments of fight but lacked the basics to stay in it.

Charlton Athletic put in a composed away performance to beat Watford 2-0, with goals from Luca Kjerrumgaard and Jordan Zemura condemning the hosts to a fourth defeat in five Championship matches.

Sunderland arrive at the CBS Arena on Saturday without a Premier League win in their last five matches and having conceded twelve goals in that run. Coventry have problems of their own, but this one looks like a contest decided by who wants it more.

Coventry have won back-to-back Premier League matches and will fancy their chances at home. Fulham arrive stubborn and hard to beat, and that makes Saturday's fixture genuinely interesting.

Wolves host a Watford side who have shipped twelve goals in their last five Championship outings. Saturday's fixture looks like a very uncomfortable afternoon for the visitors.

Norwich and Watford arrive at Carrow Road on Saturday with four defeats apiece from their last five Championship outings. Something has to give. It probably will not be the defences.

Watford host Middlesbrough on Saturday having won just once in their last five Championship outings. Middlesbrough arrive unbeaten in five, and the numbers suggest this could get ugly.
