It is a lovely story. But the data is hammering me over the head with Barcelona's quality, the head-to-head is a six-nil hiding, and Valencia are missing three players to injury.
The smart money is on Barcelona to win and to score. Whether Valencia can get on the scoresheet themselves is the real question. Their leaky home defence suggests Barcelona will find a way through. But that high BTTS rate at Mestalla means a consolation or two for the home side is not out of the question.
I'm going big on this one. Barcelona to win, both teams to score. It goes against the head-to-head but the home BTTS numbers are too loud to ignore. Valencia will have a go in front of their own fans, Barcelona have the quality to punish any space they leave, and we get a proper game rather than a six-nil horror show. You heard it here first.
