Strasbourg 1-2 Toulouse result, stats and report

Paris Saint-Germain came from a goal down to beat Strasbourg 3-1 at the Meinau, with Ilya Zabarnyi, Ousmane Dembélé, and Désiré Doué all scoring after the break. Strasbourg competed in patches but lacked the basics to hold a dominant PSG side at bay.

Toulouse were ruthless and clinical at Le Mans on Friday night, winning 3-0 with goals from Jacen Russell-Rowe, Aron Dønnum, and Casper Tengstedt to record a dominant away victory in Ligue 1.

Toulouse head into Sunday's Ligue 1 fixture without a defeat in their last five matches. Rennes arrive capable of anything, which is precisely the problem.

Le Havre and Strasbourg meet on Saturday with a combined one draw and eight defeats across their last ten Ligue 1 outings. Someone has to win. Neither looks capable of it.

Lens host Toulouse on Saturday evening with both sides leaking goals and neither able to keep a clean sheet consistently. This one has the look of a match where the basics get tested early.

Strasbourg have not kept a clean sheet in five Ligue 1 matches and welcome a Brest side that knows how to score. Something has to give, and Connor Maguire has seen enough to know what it probably is.

Strasbourg arrive at Rennes on Sunday without a clean sheet in their last five Ligue 1 matches and carrying four injury absences. Rennes have won this fixture before and they intend to win it again.

Troyes arrive in Toulouse having lost all five of their completed Ligue 1 matches, conceding fifteen goals along the way. This is not a contest. It is a reckoning.
