Servette 3-0 Sion result, stats and report

A VAR-assisted red card for Zürich's Fodé Sylla at 27 minutes shaped this Swiss Super League draw, with both goals coming from the spot and Sion left frustrated after four straight wins.

Young Boys came from two goals down to beat Servette 3-2 in the Swiss Super League, with Samuel Essende scoring twice in the final twenty minutes to seal a dramatic home victory.

Servette came from behind to beat Thun 4-2, with Fabio Saiz grabbing two goals for the hosts before Servette's clinical second-half display, capped by David Datro Fofana, settled it. Thun had 60% possession and 17 shots but converted just two of them. That is your problem right there.

Sion ran out emphatic 5-2 winners at Grasshopper, with substitute Rilind Nivokazi scoring twice after coming on at half-time to turn a tight contest into a rout. Grasshopper had more of everything on paper but were ruthlessly punished every time they switched off.

Kingstone Mutandwa converted a second-half penalty to give Servette a 1-0 victory at Lausanne Sport, with the hosts left to rue a performance that produced plenty of attempts but zero cutting edge.

Sion came to St. Gallen and did what good sides do. They competed harder, created more, and punished a home team that had no answer for the basics.

Ajax put Sion to the sword with a dominant 5-3 victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League, with Tolu Arokodare netting twice and Winsley Boteli completing a hat-trick for the Swiss side in a match that had everything except defensive competence.

Servette arrive at this fixture having lost three of their last five Swiss Super League matches and keeping zero clean sheets in that run. Sion have won four of their last five and are not coming to make up the numbers.
