Red Star 2-3 Rodez result, stats and report

Nancy came from behind twice to beat Rodez 4-3 in a chaotic Ligue 2 fixture, with Pape Meïssa Ba scoring twice for the hosts before Nancy's superior discipline and desire ultimately told.

Red Star ground out a narrow 1-0 win over Metz in Ligue 2, with Jovany Ikanga converting a second-half penalty to settle a match that Metz's goalkeeper kept competitive almost single-handedly.

Matthéo Xantippe's eleventh-minute finish gave Grenoble Foot 38 a deserved 1-0 victory at Rodez, with the away side dominating every meaningful statistic on a night when the home team simply did not compete.

Rodez have shipped 13 goals in their last five Ligue 2 matches and have not kept a single clean sheet. Montpellier arrive with a defence that has stayed tight across ten matches. Something has to give.

Saint-Étienne arrive at Red Star on Saturday in blistering Ligue 2 form, having won four of their last five. Red Star are no pushover at home, but they will need to be at their competitive best to stop a side that simply does not stop scoring.

Saint-Étienne arrive at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on the back of five straight Ligue 2 wins. Rodez have beaten them before and they know it.

Clermont have not won a Ligue 2 match in their last five outings, drawing four and losing one. Red Star arrive at Stade Gabriel-Montpied on Saturday with two wins from their last five and, frankly, the better recent form.
