Nottingham Forest 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur result, stats and report

Brentford earned a deserved 2-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest at the Gtech Community Stadium, with an early Nikola Milenković own goal and a late Igor Thiago strike doing the damage. Forest had more of the ball and more shots but converted none of it into anything that mattered.

Tottenham Hotspur won 2-0 at Chelsea thanks to a Mike Penders own goal and a late Mathys Tel strike, with the hosts reduced to ten men after Cole Palmer was sent off for a second yellow card in the 80th minute.

Nottingham Forest have conceded seven goals in their last five Premier League matches and kept zero clean sheets. Chelsea arrive on Friday night with problems of their own, but Forest look vulnerable.

Oliver Glasner has warned Nottingham Forest will be hunting for a sixth head coach since August 2025 unless his players 'buy in' to sweeping changes, after a 2-0 defeat at Brentford left the club bottom-six and the Premier League's lowest scorers.

Harry Kane has won the 2026 Ballon d'Or, becoming the first English player to land the award since Michael Owen in 2001, off a 73-goal season for Bayern Munich and England. The win, which saw him beat Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal, has reignited debate over his 2023 Tottenham exit and exposed an awkward pre-ceremony leak by organisers.

Cole Palmer's red card capped a chastening afternoon for Chelsea as Tottenham won at Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2018, with Xabi Alonso urging his forward to learn from a second disciplinary flashpoint in eight days.

Roberto De Zerbi insists Tottenham's medical staff are not to blame as nine players miss the trip to Stamford Bridge, where Spurs have won just once in 42 matches. Chelsea, meanwhile, have eradicated last season's disciplinary problems under Xabi Alonso, though doubts linger over deputy goalkeeper Mike Penders.
