Montpellier 0-0 Boulogne result, stats and report

Boulogne had the territory, the shots, and the corners, but Nantes had the composure when it counted. A stoppage-time penalty from Thomas Robinet was too little, too late.

Reims dominated possession and territory but could not find a winner against a Montpellier side who equalised through Yaya Fofana and then had a man sent off. A point each, and Reims will feel they left two on the table.

Clermont and Boulogne served up a toothless stalemate in Ligue 2 on Friday night, with six yellow cards, ten substitutions and not a single goal to justify the aggravation.

Montpellier controlled everything but the scoreboard, missing three big chances and a penalty as Boulogne's ten men somehow left with a point. This is what a lack of accountability at the sharp end looks like.

Boulogne and Dijon shared the spoils in a 1-1 Ligue 2 draw on Friday evening, with Théo Epailly's first-half goal cancelled out by Tyris Dong's header after the break. For Boulogne, it is another dropped result from a side that has not won in five Ligue 2 matches.

Rodez have shipped 13 goals in their last five Ligue 2 matches and have not kept a single clean sheet. Montpellier arrive with a defence that has stayed tight across ten matches. Something has to give.

Grenoble Foot 38 host a Boulogne side that has not won in their last ten Ligue 2 matches. Something has to give on Friday night.

Boulogne host Nantes at the foot of Ligue 2 on Saturday, with neither side having won a single match this season. Something has to give, but the structural problems on both sides suggest the answer may not be straightforward.
