Hull City vs Brentford prediction, odds and how to watch

Newcastle United survived a second-half scare to beat Hull City 2-1 at St. James' Park, with goals from Joe Willock and Lewis Hall inside the opening seven minutes doing the damage despite Hull's Mohamed-Ali Cho pulling one back on 67 minutes.

Brentford put Chelsea to the sword with three second-half goals, exposing a visiting side that had more possession, more corners, and absolutely nothing to show for it. Jaidon Anthony, Igor Thiago, and Fábio Carvalho did the damage.

Brentford came to Reading and got the job done 2-1 in the Carabao Cup, with Callum Wilson and Fábio Carvalho scoring either side of half-time before Paudie O'Connor gave the hosts a late consolation.

Hull City host an unbeaten Brentford side on Sunday carrying a mounting injury list and a home record that has shown genuine promise. Something has to give.

Hull City have kept five clean sheets in their last five home Premier League matches while Everton have drawn three of their last five on the road. Something has to give at the MKM Stadium on Sunday.

Fulham have lost three of their last five Premier League matches and are conceding at a rate that should worry anyone connected with the club. Hull City arrive unbeaten in four and with a defence that has barely been troubled.

Brentford have opened contract talks with Kevin Schade in a bid to lock in their in-form winger before Arsenal or Liverpool can move in January, a defensive play that reflects the club's wider sell-high recruitment model.
