Hibernian 0-1 Motherwell result, stats and report

Kevin Nisbet gave Hibernian the lead at Easter Road but Martin Boyle's second-half penalty earned Aberdeen a point, ending a match that both sides will feel they could have won.

Dundee came from behind to beat Motherwell 2-1 at home, with Alex Lowry's 44th-minute equaliser proving the platform for a second-half winner despite Motherwell creating five big chances and hitting the woodwork twice.

Hibernian created the chances but could not take them. Kilmarnock took theirs. That is football, and that is why Hibs lost.

Aberdeen made a mockery of their recent poor form to dismantle Motherwell 4-0 at Fir Park, with goals from Gavin Molloy, Connor Ronan, Ayoub Mouloua and Kevin Nisbet completing a ruthless away performance. Motherwell had 69% possession and scored nothing. That tells you everything.

Hibernian have lost three Scottish Premiership matches on the bounce and kept zero clean sheets in their last ten. Falkirk arrive battered but dangerous enough to make this deeply uncomfortable for the home side.

Kilmarnock welcome Motherwell to Rugby Park on Saturday with both sides carrying serious problems. One win in five each. Neither can afford another afternoon of nothing.

Celtic arrive at Fir Park on Sunday with ten straight Scottish Premiership wins and zero intention of stopping. Motherwell have lost their last two and need a response fast.

Dundee United host Hibernian at Tannadice on Saturday with one thing abundantly clear: somebody is conceding goals. The question is how many.
