Górnik Zabrze 2-1 Śląsk Wrocław result, stats and report

Górnik Zabrze arrived at Motor Lublin carrying four wins from their last five matches but could not convert two big chances as both sides cancelled each other out in a scrappy, card-filled Polish Ekstraklasa draw.

Wisła Kraków left it late but left it in no doubt, with Alan Uryga heading home in the 93rd minute to complete a 2-1 win over Śląsk Wrocław that the hosts had dominated from the first whistle. Śląsk competed in numbers but not in quality, and on a night where Wisła launched 26 shots to their visitors' five, the result was the bare minimum the home side deserved.

Górnik Zabrze put in a ruthless away performance at Korona Kielce, with Peter Federico scoring twice to secure a 2-0 win that the match statistics make very hard to argue with.

Górnik Zabrze led through Allahyar Sayyadmanesh's header but Lech Poznań substitute Erik Prekop scored twice in four second-half minutes to seal a 2-1 away victory in the Polish Ekstraklasa.

Korona Kielce came from behind to win 2-1 at Śląsk Wrocław, with Simon Gustafson's stoppage-time finish settling a match that Śląsk had more than enough chances to put to bed. The thing is, Śląsk had 17 shots and lost. That tells you everything.

Górnik Zabrze welcome local rivals Piast Gliwice to a Silesian derby that pits one of the Ekstraklasa's most dominant home sides against a team that has quietly built a serious head of steam. Something has to give.

Motor Lublin and Śląsk Wrocław meet on Saturday with a combined zero wins between them across their last five matches each. Something has to give, but don't expect a classic.

Two of the Ekstraklasa's most in-form sides collide on Saturday evening, with Górnik Zabrze arriving in Białystok carrying four wins from their last five and a point to prove against the side that beat them in April.
