Estrela Amadora 0-0 Famalicão result, stats and report

André Clóvis scored twice inside the first half-hour to give Academico Viseu a composed 2-0 win away at Estrela Amadora, handing the home side their first defeat in five Liga Portugal matches.

Famalicão were ruthless and clinical, putting four past a Nacional side that had no answer and no fight. Georgios Koutsias and Sorriso shared the goals and the headlines.

Estrela Amadora dominated possession and led twice through Abraham Marcus, but Rio Ave showed uncommon desire to claw back a point in a six-goal thriller in the Liga Portugal.

Famalicão earned a point against Sporting CP after a dramatic own goal from Gonçalo Inácio deep in stoppage time cancelled out Luis Suárez's 81st-minute penalty, in a match that saw Sporting's manager Carlos Carvalhal sent to the stands.

Ianis Stoica scored twice to give Estrela Amadora a 2-1 victory over Sporting Braga in Liga Portugal, with the home side holding firm despite Braga's dominance of possession throughout the match.

Estrela Amadora twice led at home only to be pegged back by Famalicão, with Georgios Koutsias scoring either side of the break to earn the visitors a 2-2 draw in the Liga Portugal.

Two of Liga Portugal's most draw-prone sides meet on Monday night, with Famalicão yet to win in five and Alverca yet to keep a clean sheet in ten. Something has to give. Probably not much.

Arouca have been difficult to beat and even harder to score against in recent Liga Portugal action. But Estrela Amadora have not kept a clean sheet in their last five matches, and goals follow them everywhere they go.
