Castellón 1-2 Córdoba result, stats and report

Castellón produced a dominant and thoroughly merited 5-0 victory over Tenerife at home in La Liga 2, with Ousmane Camara grabbing a brace and Pablo Santiago netting within a minute of coming off the bench. Tenerife offered next to nothing in reply and were taken apart by a side that knew exactly how to compete.

Córdoba took all three points at Albacete on Friday night, winning 2-1 in a match that Albacete dominated on paper but could not convert into a result. Alex Rubio struck inside the first minute and the lead held until Albacete hit back twice, only for Córdoba to edge it in a game that said everything about where both clubs are right now.

Almería took all three points at Córdoba with goals from Brian Cipenga and substitute Thalys, winning 2-0 despite Córdoba dominating possession and creating far more attempts on goal.

Girona controlled possession, corners, and shots but lost 1-2 to Castellón, who scored twice in the final ten minutes through Agustín Sienra and substitute Álvaro García to snatch all three points.

Castellón arrive at Las Palmas on Saturday having dropped just once in their last ten La Liga 2 outings, but the hosts have quietly built a fortress mentality of their own. Something has to give.

Leganés host Córdoba on Friday night in a La Liga 2 fixture that pits one of the division's more defensively solid sides against a travelling team that has conceded twelve goals in five away matches. Something has to give.

FC Andorra have lost four of their last five La Liga 2 matches and have yet to keep a single clean sheet in that run. Castellón arrive in form, confident, and with very little reason to fear this fixture.

Eldense have not won in four La Liga 2 matches and have scored just twice. Córdoba arrive having lost three of their last five. Something has to give on Sunday.
