Carrarese 1-2 Mantova result, stats and report

Mantova looked set to hold on for all three points before Vanja Vlahović equalised deep into stoppage time to earn Pisa a 2-2 draw in a bad-tempered, open Serie B encounter.

Antonio Prisco came off the bench and scored the only goal of the game in the 66th minute to give Benevento a 1-0 Serie B victory at Carrarese, who remain without a win in their last five Serie B matches.

Mantova made it count when it mattered, finishing the sharper of two evenly matched sides to claim a 2-0 Serie B win over Sampdoria, whose profligacy in front of goal proved fatal.

Pietro Iemmello's 83rd-minute right-foot finish settled a tight Serie B contest at Catanzaro, giving the hosts a victory their pressure probably deserved. Carrarese arrived with a poor recent record and left with nothing.

Two of Serie B's form sides collide on Saturday as Mantova host Palermo, with both teams carrying serious momentum into a fixture that could have real implications at the top of the division.

Carrarese head into Saturday's Serie B fixture against Modena without a win in their last five completed matches. Modena are no world-beaters themselves, but they look a different animal to the side hosting them.

Calcio Padova host Carrarese on Sunday knowing a win keeps the pressure on. Carrarese arrive having won none of their last five in Serie B.

Catanzaro arrive at this Serie B fixture having lost four of their last five matches, while Mantova roll into town with three wins from their last five. Something has to give.
