Bolton Wanderers 1-0 Bradford City result, stats and report

Middlesbrough dismantled Bolton Wanderers 5-1 at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Friday night, with Will Lankshear bagging a brace and the hosts' defence completely falling apart after the break.

Southampton bossed possession and created the better chances but could not turn their dominance into goals, as Bolton Wanderers held firm for a point at St Mary's.

Stoke City came from behind to win 2-1 at Bolton Wanderers, with Theo Bair's stoppage-time header sealing the points after Maksym Taloverov's 20th-minute red card handed the visitors a man advantage they never let go.

Bolton Wanderers came to Norwich and left with three points after a seven-goal Championship contest that had everything except defensive accountability. Norwich led twice and still found a way to lose.

Bolton Wanderers host Portsmouth at the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Saturday, with the home side carrying genuine belief after three wins from their last five Championship outings. Portsmouth come in patched up and inconsistent. Something has to give.

Bolton Wanderers head into Saturday's clash with form, goals, and genuine belief. Bristol City arrive having scored twice in five matches. This one is already decided in my head.

Derby have not won in five Championship matches. Bolton are leaking goals at an alarming rate. Friday night at Pride Park has all the makings of a match neither side can afford to lose.

Bolton Wanderers have lost three of their last five Championship matches and are running out of time to sort their defence out. Middlesbrough roll into the University of Bolton Stadium without a defeat in five. This has the look of a problem.
