Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Hamburger SV result, stats and report

Jonas Hofmann scored twice inside three first-half minutes to hand Bayer Leverkusen a commanding 2-0 victory over OFI in the UEFA Europa League, with the Greek side offering precious little to suggest they could live with their opponents.

SC Freiburg came from behind to win 2-1 at Bayer Leverkusen, with Patrik Schick's 76th-minute strike settling a game Leverkusen dominated in territory but could not control where it mattered. Ibrahim Maza and Schick did the damage for an away side that arrived with a point to prove and left with three.

Bayer Leverkusen arrive in Croatia with three wins from three and a clean sheet in every one of them. Dinamo Zagreb need to find something they have not shown yet in this competition.

Werder Bremen host Hamburger SV on Sunday in a Bundesliga north German derby that pits an unbeaten home side against visitors who have won three on the bounce. Something has to give.

Bayer Leverkusen host Paderborn at the BayArena on Saturday with form, firepower, and every logical reason to win. Paderborn have kept zero clean sheets in their last five Bundesliga matches. This should be straightforward.

Bayer Leverkusen look the part at home, but Stuttgart have won both previous meetings between these sides and they have the head-to-head record to make Saturday uncomfortable.

Hoffenheim have lost four of their last five Bundesliga matches and kept zero clean sheets in that run. Bayer Leverkusen arrive with fourteen goals in five and no intention of being gentle.
