Barcelona 3-1 Real Betis result, stats and report

Celta Vigo and Real Betis played out a goalless draw at Balaídos on Sunday, a match with plenty of attempts but precious little quality in the final third from either side.

Real Betis arrive in Bratislava on the back of three straight Champions League wins. Slovan have conceded fifteen goals in five matches and have not kept a single clean sheet.

Leaked Real Madrid team news confirms Denzel Dumfries will start at right-back ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold in Sunday's Clasico, with the former Liverpool star now rated third choice under Jose Mourinho. Liverpool, meanwhile, have no active plan to bring him home despite the slump.

Barcelona have been fined a token €602 by the Spanish FA over their illegal approach for Julián Álvarez, but the real story is the Atlético striker's rapid rehabilitation with fans after two goals in two games pulled his side within two points of league leaders Barcelona.

José Mourinho's knee-slide celebration at Camp Nou capped a 2-0 Clásico win built on a Kylian Mbappé brace, turning a chaotic first 100 days back at Real Madrid into vindication while raising fresh questions about Barcelona's big-game fragility.

Kylian Mbappe's brace, including his 100th Real Madrid goal, sank Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou and ended their nine-game unbeaten run, pulling Jose Mourinho's side to within three points of the summit while extending his remarkable unbeaten Clasico record as Real boss.

Barcelona can set a new La Liga record with a 10th consecutive win to open a season when they host Real Madrid on Sunday, but Jose Mourinho arrives fresh off two 4-1 wins and declaring 'Madrid with Mourinho wins trophies'. Barca's defensive cracks, exposed by a 4-2 Champions League loss to PSG, make this far from a formality.

José Mourinho makes his first Clásico return as Real Madrid manager on Sunday, back at the Camp Nou where he began as Bobby Robson's translator before becoming Barcelona's fiercest rival. Three months into his second Madrid spell, his calmer public tone is undercut by the same calculated gamesmanship, including a press no-show designed to protect his touchline availability.
