Reims put four past Red Star in Paris on Saturday afternoon, with Youssef El Kachati scoring twice as the visitors' clinical edge completely undid a Red Star side that had more of the ball but none of the cutting edge that mattered.

Red Star came from a man-down situation to hold on for a 2-1 victory at Laval in Ligue 2, with Samuel Renel and Damien Durand scoring before the break to hand the visitors three points they deserved.

Saint-Étienne arrive at Red Star on Saturday in blistering Ligue 2 form, having won four of their last five. Red Star are no pushover at home, but they will need to be at their competitive best to stop a side that simply does not stop scoring.

Clermont have not won a Ligue 2 match in their last five outings, drawing four and losing one. Red Star arrive at Stade Gabriel-Montpied on Saturday with two wins from their last five and, frankly, the better recent form.

Guingamp have quietly built something solid at home in Ligue 2 this season, but Red Star travel to Brittany having won three of their last five away fixtures and carrying the confidence of a side that knows how to take points on the road.

Red Star host Metz on Monday evening with both sides sitting level on five points, but the patterns behind those numbers tell very different stories about how this match is likely to unfold.
