Al Taawoun 0-0 Al Khaleej result, stats and report

Al Hilal tore Al Taawoun apart in the Saudi Pro League, winning 6-0 with Gabriel Martinelli scoring a hat-trick and Ollie Watkins netting twice in a performance that was clinical from the first whistle.

Al Khaleej held Al Nassr to a 1-1 draw in the Saudi Pro League, with Abdullah Al-Hamdan's 72nd-minute equaliser cancelling out Omar Mascarell's first-half header in a match Al Khaleej dominated on the ball but failed to convert.

Al Hilal were ruthless in Riyadh, scoring four times before half-time to put Al Khaleej to the sword in a 5-1 Saudi Pro League hammering. Milinkovic-Savic, Summerville, and Theo Hernández were among the scorers in a first half that left the hosts with nowhere to hide.

Al Khaleej ground out a goalless draw with Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League, but the numbers tell a story of two sides who cannot finish and one side that simply cannot score. Neither kept a clean sheet with any conviction. They just ran out of ideas at the same time.

Al Taawoun controlled the match from start to finish but could not convert four big chances, leaving the points shared in a goalless draw against Al Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.

NEOM SC dismantled Al Khaleej with three goals in the final eight minutes of the first half, with Alexandre Lacazette opening the scoring before Muhanad Al-Saad and Amadou Koné put the game to bed before the break.

Al Khaleej have not won in ten Saudi Pro League matches and face an Al-Fayha side with problems of their own. Something has to give on Thursday.

Al-Taawoun have been fined £20,000 and ordered to play two matches behind closed doors after fans chanted Diogo Jota's name at Ruben Neves, Jota's grieving best friend. Cristiano Ronaldo has called for lifetime bans, raising questions about whether Saudi football's discipline matches its ambitions.
