Al Ittihad 0-0 Al Kholood result, stats and report

Al Kholood held off a determined Al Shabab to win 2-1 in the Saudi Pro League, with Iker Kortajarena's equaliser briefly threatening to deny the hosts before Abdulrahman Al-Dawsari struck three minutes from time to settle it.

Al Kholood produced one of the most unlikely results of the Saudi Pro League campaign, beating a previously dominant Al Ahli 3-1 despite being outplayed for large portions of the match. The numbers told one story. The scoreboard told another.

Al Ittihad made it four wins from their last five Saudi Pro League matches with a 2-1 home victory over Al-Fayha, George Ilenikhena heading them in front before Youssef En-Nesyri converted from the spot after the visitors had briefly levelled.

Al Fateh dominated Al Ittihad in every measurable way but could not find a winner in a goalless Saudi Pro League draw, hitting the woodwork three times and missing four big chances in a performance that will haunt their players for days.

George Ilenikhena scored twice in the first half to hand Al Ittihad a 2-1 victory over Al Nassr, a result that defied the run of play and left the visitors with plenty to answer for despite dominating large spells of the match.

Al-Fayha led twice at home but Al Kholood showed real desire to claw back a 2-2 draw in the Saudi Pro League, with Julien Domingues heading home in the 88th minute to deny the hosts a badly needed win.

Al Ittihad arrive at Friday's Saudi Pro League clash in commanding form while Al Shabab limp in without a win in five. Connor Maguire breaks down why the gap between these two sides is bigger than it looks.

Al Faisaly have not won in seven Saudi Pro League matches and are leaking goals at an alarming rate. Al Kholood arrive with wins on the board and goals in their boots.
