Al Faisaly 1-3 Al Ittihad result, stats and report

Al Ittihad made it four wins from their last five Saudi Pro League matches with a 2-1 home victory over Al-Fayha, George Ilenikhena heading them in front before Youssef En-Nesyri converted from the spot after the visitors had briefly levelled.

Al Fateh dominated Al Ittihad in every measurable way but could not find a winner in a goalless Saudi Pro League draw, hitting the woodwork three times and missing four big chances in a performance that will haunt their players for days.

George Ilenikhena scored twice in the first half to hand Al Ittihad a 2-1 victory over Al Nassr, a result that defied the run of play and left the visitors with plenty to answer for despite dominating large spells of the match.

Al Ittihad came from behind twice to beat Al Hazm 3-2, with their penalty taker converting two spot kicks in the second half to secure three points despite a disorganised defensive performance that will concern the coaching staff.

Al Ittihad scored on the stroke of half-time and then held firm with ten men for the entire second half to claim a remarkable 1-0 victory at Al-Qadsiah, despite being outshot 26 to 5 and generating almost nothing in open play.

Al Ittihad arrive at Friday's Saudi Pro League clash in commanding form while Al Shabab limp in without a win in five. Connor Maguire breaks down why the gap between these two sides is bigger than it looks.

Al Hilal welcome Al Ittihad to Riyadh on Thursday having kept clean sheets in four of their last five home games, while the visitors arrive with a defensive record that has conceded in seven of their last ten. Something has to give.

Al Faisaly head into matchday three without a point and with six goals conceded already. Al Ittihad arrive carrying an injury list but enough firepower to make this a very uncomfortable evening for the hosts.
