How the Market Works
The SportSignals Market is a free, virtual prediction game. You trade shares in footballers using Signal Coins (SC), a virtual currency with no monetary value. Nothing you do here involves real money.
Signal Coins are virtual only
Every account starts with a fixed Signal Coin balance. You cannot deposit real money, and Signal Coins cannot be withdrawn, sold, or exchanged for anything of value. They exist solely to score your predictions and rank you on the leaderboard.
How player prices move
Each player has a market price that updates after matches based on measurable events and statistics, not on user trading volume. The price engine looks at goals, assists, key passes, chances created, minutes played, clean sheets for defenders and keepers, and similar objective inputs. Strong performances push a player's price up, poor ones push it down.
Prices update shortly after each match concludes. You can see every move on a player's detail page, which shows the price chart and the events that drove each change.
Trading
- Buy shares in a player you expect to perform well. If their price rises, your holding is worth more Signal Coins.
- Sell shares to realise gains, cut losses, or free up Signal Coins for other picks.
- Every trade is recorded and visible in your portfolio.
Daily rewards
Log in each day to claim a small Signal Coin reward. The reward refreshes every 24 hours and is the main way to top up your balance beyond the trades you make. Missing a day does not carry the reward forward.
Portfolio and leaderboard
Your portfolio shows your open holdings, your trade history, and your total Signal Coin balance. The public leaderboard ranks traders by total portfolio value so you can see how you compare.
Private leagues
Create or join a private league to compete with friends. League standings use the same portfolio value metric and include a chat room for each league.
The bracket game
Alongside player trading, you can enter bracket predictions for major tournaments. Brackets score separately from the market and sit on their own leaderboard.

- Signal Coins are not a cryptocurrency or token.
- You cannot buy, sell, or cash out Signal Coins.
