Listen, Orient's manager made changes. Cheek came off at 52 minutes. Whitely and Kabamba followed. None of it made any difference because the problem was not the personnel. The problem was the attitude and the basics had already gone. Bromley kept coming.

Kabia got his second of the night on 66 minutes, right-footed this time, assisted by Will Forrester. That was 4-0. The game had long since moved past the point of a comeback but credit Bromley, they did not take their foot off. Substitute Armando Dobra came on in the 90th minute and scored almost immediately, completing a 5-0 rout. That was the full-time score. Bromley 5, Leyton Orient 0.

Orient had eight total shots. Two on target. Their goalkeeper made just two saves. They hit the woodwork once, which summed up their evening. All the effort, none of the end product and still five goals against them.

Bromley's defenders made 17 tackles and 12 interceptions to Orient's five interceptions and ten tackles. When a team wins that battle so comprehensively, the scoreline becomes inevitable. Bromley wanted it more. You could see it in every statistic on that page.

Orient also had three offsides across the match. When you are pushing for goals and hitting the offside trap repeatedly, it means your shape and your runs are off. The co-ordination was not there. The basics were not there.

Bromley's Night to Savour

Kabia with two. Akhamrich with two. Dobra off the bench to make it five. This was Bromley at their best. Dominant in possession, dangerous in attack, organised in defence. They kept a clean sheet against an admittedly toothless Orient side, but a clean sheet is a clean sheet. You do the basics right and results take care of themselves.

Bromley's first three completed League One matches this campaign read win, draw, loss. Inconsistent, but there is something there. Tonight showed what they are capable of when they bring the right attitude from the first whistle. The desire was obvious. The commitment was obvious.

For Orient, there is serious work to do. One win in ten League One matches is not a form issue you can paper over. This is a problem that goes deeper than tactics. Desire, accountability, the basics. Someone in that dressing room needs to stand up and demand more. Tuesday night at Bromley was not good enough. Not even close.
